Melvin Herbert Jr

Melvin M. Herbert, Jr., age 52, passed away in Riverside, Calif. with his loving family by his side. Melvin was born to his parents Melvin and Margaret Herbert on February 12, 1966 in Winterhaven, Calif. Melvin was the President of the Indian Club in school and after graduating from Banning High School, he attended a technical college. He was of Protestant faith and attended the Morongo Moravian Church on the Morongo Indian Reservation.

Melvin was a loving father, devoted husband and loved by everyone. He was the kindest person to know.

Melvin is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Anne Herbert; mother, Margaret Herbert; daughter, Ciara Herbert; son, Melvin Herbert III; father-in-law, David Labonte; cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm at Wiefels & Son Mortuary, Banning, Calif. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Morongo Moravian Church, Morongo Indian Reservation, Banning, Calif., with burial immediately following at the Morongo Moravian Cemetery.
