Maria Edna Alaniz

Maria Edna Alaniz, age 70, of Banning, CA; formerly of Desert Hot Springs, CA, Palm Springs, CA and Cabazon, CA, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Ontario, CA. Edna was born February 18, 1948 in Mission, TX to her parents Ruben and Delia Casas.

Edna is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gilbert Alaniz of Banning; sons, Robert Alaniz and Alex Alaniz both of Banning; daughters-in law, Nydia Alaniz and Christina Alaniz both of Banning; grandchildren, Madelyn Alaniz and Lillian Alaniz both of Banning.

She was a caregiver to both her parents, Ruben and Delia Casas and brother, Jose Casas who all preceded her in death.

Edna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a dear friend to so many who were blessed to know her.

A Memorial Service to honor Mary Edna Alaniz will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 at Wiefels & Son Memorial Chapel, Banning CA.
