Ida Opal Oestman

Ida Opal Oestman, age 78, passed away at her home in Banning, CA on October 11, 2018. She was born in Wray, CO on September 27, 1940 to her parents, Raymond and Opal Earl. Ida managed the Banning High School cafeteria for 27 years. Ida was a member of the Banning United Methodist Church and very active in the Women’s Auxiliary group. Ida was also active in the Cub Scouts, Little League & Pop Warner during her sons’ youth.

Ida is survived by her sons, Gene (Maryann) Oestman of Cooperstown, NY, Dean (Karen) Oestman of Roy, UT, Darrel Oestman of Banning, CA, Doug Oestman of Banning, CA; sister, Karen Gorman of Wray, CO; brothers, Ivan (Donna) Earl of Wray, CO and Bob (Carol) Earl of Mt. Home, AR; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Sylvia Lopez and Maggie Miranda for all their help. Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Oestman and her parents Raymond and Opal Earl.

Services will take place on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 with a Visitation from 9am- 11am and Funeral Service to begin at 11am, all to take place at the Banning United Methodist Church, 235 N. 2nd St., Banning, CA. Burial will follow immediately at San Gorgonio Memorial Park, 2201 N. San Gorgonio Ave, Banning, CA.
