William Fred McClellan

William Fred McClellan, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2023, at the age of 89, in Banning, California. He was born on August 8, 1934, in Long Beach, California, to James Stewart and Edna McClellan.

Fred attended Beaumont High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, Janis. They were later married in Cherry Valley and lived happily together for 65 years.
Fred served in the Army during Vietnam. He then owned a gas diesel station and auto repair business for over 40 years, it became a pillar of the community, where friends and neighbors would gather for a warm conversation and a refill of their tanks.

Outside of his career, Fred found joy in spending time with his family. He was a loving father to his son, Mitchell McClellan and a devoted husband to his late wife, Janis McClellan. He was a Christian believer and a faithful member of Fellowship Church. He enjoyed sports, music, church activities, and traveling. His memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Fred's remarkable life. Funeral services and ceremonies will be held at 9:45 am, Friday September 29th, 2023, at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California. Celebration of Life service following the graveside, 11:30am at Fellowship Church in Beaumont.
