Steven James Miller was born May 5, 1972 in Banning, CA. He resided on the Morongo Indian Reservation, Banning, CA. Steven graduated from Banning High school in 1996. Steven worked at Casino Morongo 1998, Then went to being a clerk at Silver Stone in Cabazon outlets in 1997. He Worked as a window decorator for special occasions. Steven then started his own gardening business. Late 2024 he became ill and had to stop his business. His health was not good from there on. Steven was caught in a house fire December 8, 2025 and lost his life March 20, 2026 in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Steven was baptized at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Banning, CA in 1972.In 1996 he was awarded for his Art work. His Art work was on display in with others in the Riverside Gallery of Art. Great Show! Steven loved his dog Chilo a doberman pincher who was very loyal and a great pet. They're both in heaven now and will be dearly missed. Steven was very out going and made friends easily. Always wanting to help others, very caring. He loved to work in the yard and plant trees, flowers, roses, shrubs and spend time watering those plants. He grew up with many cousins and loved each and everyone of them. Steven is survived by his mother Carmen Velasquez Bales of Banning, CA, Aunts Ann Noel of McCurtin, OK, Mae Velasquez, Winnona Meyer and Marie Trimble all of Banning, CA., Uncle Tony and Aunt Cheryl Velasquez of Banning, CA, Ron Lara, Darcy Seyl, Kieth & Lisa Linton and Roxanne Alvardo. He was preceded by his sister Winona Elisa Martinez, father Steven Nash Miller, Grandparents Florian & Edith Velasquez and Kieth & Alta Miller all of Banning, CA. God Parents Uncle Florian and aunt Rita Vellasquez of Banning,CA.
