I have many great memories of my brother-in-law Ruben as we were all growing up Banning during the late 1950's and early sixties. He had the coolest bicycle with spring shock absorbers on the front fork and high rise handlebars. After he married my sister Connie, they moved to San Diego after we had moved back to San Diego for the second time. As young men we worked in construction, played fast and slow pitch softball in the San Diego softball leagues. Ruben was our ace pitcher and we held our own against the other teams. Long story short we had a lot of fun growing up and I will always cherish these memories of Ruben. We had more than anyone should be allowed. Rest in Peace my brother and may you be in paradise with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Our sincere condolences to my sister Connie and the rest of the Pelkey Family during this difficult time.

Sending my heartfelt condolences to Connie and the Pelkey Family. My cousin Ruben was so special to our Balderas Family. He was and, will always be our Chief! He will always be loved and missed very much. I will keep the fond memories of good times of all our family reunions in my heart. I know the Lala Lady and all of our loved ones gone before us are reunited with you in Heaven. What a joyous reunion it must be! Rest with the angels my dear primo. We will all be together again one day. Love you, xox
