Rosie Marcus Obituary

Rosita Julia Marcus (Moreno) passed away April 15, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born to Fernando & Manuela (Barajas) Moreno on March 16, 1933. She was the eldest of 3 children and enjoyed taking them to the picture show. She attended schools in Banning including St Boniface. In the late 40s she met her future husband Clarence "Bobby" Marcus Sr. They married in 1949 and had 9 children. She loved her family and supported them in every way. While raising her kids, she also worked to help support them. She held jobs at the shirt factory, the Indian Health Clinic, and the laundromat. She played softball and bowled, but mostly she enjoyed watching her husband and family play sports. She was their #1 fan attending softball/baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, bowling, and pool games. Rosie loved music and loved to dance. Always on the dance floor, especially when her sons were playing in their band, the Tribesmen. In her spare time, she would go to the movies and play cards with her grandchildren while sharing stories of the past. A devout Catholic, she always made time for church and kept her faith and always seen the good in everyone. Rosie was an amazing person and will truly be missed by all.

Rosie is survived by her brother, Fred Moreno, sister & brother in law, Manuela & Howard Toro, sons: John (Teresa) Marcus, Andrew (Joy) Marcus, Kim (Barbara) Marcus, daughters: Erlinda (Ron) Jones and Mary (John) Linton, 29 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 19 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fernando & Manuela Moreno, husband Clarence Marcus Sr., and sons: Marvan Sr, Clarence (Bobby) Jr, Alfred, and Garret Marcus.
