Ronette was born on September 15, 1966 in Palm Springs, CA. She was called home peacefully with loved ones at her bedside in La Jolla, CA., on June 9, 2025. She was born to proud parents Sally Del Rio and Ronald Saubel Sr. She resided in Palm springs the first two years of her life, then moved to Banning,CA and made it her permanent home.
She was a much loved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Mother-in-law, Niece, Aunt, Great Aunt, Godmother, Sister-in-law, Daughter-in -law, Cousin, and a friend to many.She was very loving Aunt and Great Aunt to her 38 Nieces and Nephews and 56 great Nieces and Nephews and one Great Great Niece. Ronette is survived by her Daughters Shalina Celia Elizondo, Marina Jazelle Elizondo-Bentiste, her Mother Sally Andreas, Sibling Ronald R Saubel Jr., Antoinett F Saubel, Desmond D Saubel Sr., and Michelle Andreas, and two sister-in-law Carol and Sherrie. She is also survived by her loving partner Benito Rodriguez and Son-in-law Joshua Bentiste. She was preceded in death by her Father Ronald R Saubel Sr., Stepfather Anthony J Andreas Jr., Husband Oswaldo Elizondo, Sister Adriana J Andreas, and Mother-in-law Ramona Lara.
Ronette was a proud tribal member of the Agua Caliente Band Of Cahuilla Indians. She was Queen for Club Latino (Mopalot), a flag girl in Banning High School, and she was a Catechism teacher. She worked as a Tupperware Representative and also worked for the Tribe/ BIA as a T.E.S.A. Realty Clerk. She served on the PSL-47 lease council for many years, was an Agua Caliente Development Authority Board Member and Tribal Council Proxy Member in the 90's for many years. She was one of the first committee members for The Agua Caliente Child Development Committee and also a member of The Agua Calienete Housing Committee.
She was on the design team for the new tribal building and was also a Tribal Building Committee Member.
Ronette was the most big hearted person, who was always thinking of others. Her giving spirit was admirable to those around her. She was a selfless and thoughtful person who always put her heart into everything she did.
She fought a long hard battle with such grace and through it all she was always so loving and so generous with a big beautiful smile. She will always be rememebered fo her Westside whistle, her love of dancing, her love for cruising and jamming to her music anytime, any day.
She will forever be missed by all who loved her and will forever live in our hearts.
