Ozell Walton, Sr., ascended to glory Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 7:00 pm.
Ozell was born on August 12, 1935, to the parentage of Alzie and Jettie (McWilliam) Walton in DeBerry, Texas where he attended Crossroad Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age. He was the fourth child of seven and graduated from Turner High School in Carthage, Texas.
In 1954, Ozell moved from DeBerry, TX to Palm Springs, CA and resided in Banning, CA for over 55 years, where he met and married the love of his life, Betty Walton in 1967.
As a professional landscaper, Ozell was a pipefitter for 35 years and a member of the Plumber/Pipefitters Union for 50 years.
Ozell united with the Fountain of Life Church of God in Christ in 1986, where he was baptized and proudly served as an Usher and Deacon for many years. He loved attending church service every Sunday.
Ozell enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ozell was preceded in death by his parents, Alzie and Jettie Walton, brother, Charles Walton and sisters, Odie Jean Williams and Lillie Richardson.
Ozell leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Betty Walton; 4 sons, Steven Walton, Sr. (Patricia) of Mesquite, TX; Roger Campbell, Ozell Walton, Jr. of Banning, CA and Andre Walton (Tammy) of Fayetteville, NC; 3 daughters, Fenita Kirkwood of Palm Springs, CA, Kathy Campbell of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Jeanette Nealy (Derek) of Loma Linda, CA; brother, Ezell Walton, Sr. (Dimple) of Fort Worth, TX; sisters, Betty Anderson and Thresia McGlothin of Marshall, TX; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
