Norman Toro Obituary

In Loving Memory of Norman "T-DAWG" Toro
June 7, 1965- May 156, 2025
Norman Toro, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away
peacefully on May 15, 2025, in Banning, California, surrounded by his loving family. He was 59
years old.
Born on June 7, 1965, at Riverside General Hospital in California, Norman was raised on the East Side of Banning, where he lived a life deeply rooted in family, tradition, and culture as a proud member of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians.
He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Avila-Toro; his children Miles (Brandi) Toro, Adriana (James) Toro, and Vanessa Toro; and his grandchildren: Mariya Toro, Mia Toro, King Toro, Justyn Walls, Liberty Walls, Adam Walls,Michael Kruse, Princess Walls, Genisys Kruse, Achilles Toro, Mercy Toro, and Baby Kruse.
Norman is also survived by his parents, Howard and Carol Toro, his siblings, Tony (Debbie) Toro, Fred Toro, Andy ( Clarissa) Toro, Wayne Toro, Barney (Laura) Toro, Jo Toro, and Maxine (Anthony) Aldrete; his uncle, Fred Moreno; his aunt Beverly Welmas; his godchildren, Josie Ferris, Sharla Bustamante, Nick Aguirre, Dianisha Diaz, and Deven Lopez; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who all loved him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Emmanuel Toro, Ronnie Toro, and Virginia Toro; his grandparents, Andrew and Dominga Toro, and Fernando and Manuel Moreno; his uncle Leroy Toro; his aunts, Virginia Welmas and Rosie Marcus; his mother-in-law, Carol Avila; his sister-in-law, Emma Toro; his brother-in-law Vince Martus; beloved cousins; and longtime friend, Rudy "Redboune" Ramirez.
Norman's parents taught him how to play ball from a very young age, and it became a part of who he was-it ran in his blood. With that passion, love, and dedication, he went on to play hardball, fastpitch, slo-pitch. and co-ed softball. He was a proud member of the Toro family team, Familia, and always loved traveling to Parker to play some good ol' Rez ball.
His many talents led him to explore multiple roles in life-a gifted DJ and Dancer, a skilled seamster, a bingo caller, and a reliable hand at the local golf course. He also worked alongside his father at Garden Villas in Palm Spings, contributing both hard work and heart to everything he did.
If you knew Norman, you knew he was truly a Creative Native who left a footprint in every life he touched. He will forever be remembered for his love of music and dancing. He had undeniable talent as a poplocker, breakdancer and MC. Many remember seeing him walking down Ramsey Street with a boombox in one hand and cardboard in the other, ready to dance with or against whoever was willing.
He also had a love for art-if he wasn't working on his tables, you'd find him with a pencil and pad, sketching with a passion and focus.
Norman's spontaneous personality created unforgettable memories with his loved ones;family trips, riding in the canyon, hunting, sightseeing, lighting up the skies with his lengendary firework shows, decking out his home for the holidays, throwing horseshoes with family and friends, and-of course-his random casino adventures.
Norman could be a wild one, but on the other side of the token, he was one of the most giving people you'd ever meet. His heart was gold. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, humor, creativity, and unwavering love for his family and community. His presence was ablessing, and his legacy will live on through all who loved him.
"You'll always be my honey" - Your Babe, Audrey
