Mildred Yeomans Obituary

Mildred I. Yeomans ("Milli")February 18, 1933 - March 20, 2026
Mildred I. "Milli" Yeomans, age 93, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, in Yucaipa, California. She was born on February 18, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Cora Coyle.
Milli was preceded in death by her beloved husband, The Rev. Robert A. Yeomans, and her daughter, Patti J. Nelissen. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Yeomans of Banning, California; her son, Robert D. (Erika) Yeomans of Dipolog, Mindanao, Philippines; her grandchildren, Tracey (Jonathan) Aranzazu, Tami (Brian) Vandegrift, Angela (Matthew) Andrews, Amy Truax, David Yeomans, and Jessica Yeomans; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by brothers Jack Coyle, Jim Coyle, and sisters Naomi Meachen and Eleanor Honsperger.
Growing up in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania as one of five children, Milli graduated from Port Clinton High School. She later met and married Robert Yeomans, with whom she shared a loving marriage until his passing in 1993. Together, they embraced a life of faith, service, and adventure, traveling to destinations including Europe and Hawaii.
As the wife of a Lutheran pastor, Milli faithfully served alongside her husband in Evangelical Lutheran Church congregations in Petersburg, West Virginia; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Sandusky, Ohio; Phoenix, Arizona; and Banning, California. She was deeply committed to her church and community.
Milli had a gift for making a house feel like home. She loved baking cookies, sewing, cooking, entertaining, playing board games, and, most of all, spending time with her family. An avid animal lover-especially fond of cats-she delighted in nurturing both her family and her feline companions, proudly helping raise "generations of cat ladies."
Professionally, Milli spent many years working in banking and was actively involved in community service. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Banning, Soroptimists International, and Business and Professional Women. She was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International. Locally, she volunteered as a Senior Volunteer with the California Highway Patrol and was a member of the Gilman Ranch Hands.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1320 W. Williams Street, Banning, California.
Milli will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, deep faith, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
