Linda Dolores Norte

Linda Norte was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She passed away at Loma Linda Hospital on January 11, 2026.
She was born to Rodolfo Lopez and Amparo Garcia on July 6, 1947, at the Loma Linda
Sanitarium and Hospital. She grew up in the Banning Pass area and graduated from Banning
High School. Linda married the love of her life, Gerald Norte, in 1966. They were happily
married for 55 years. Together, they had four sons, Christopher, Jeffrey, Isaac, and Vincent.
During their early years, Linda and Gerald lived in Paramount and Bellflower, where they started
their family. They returned to Banning with their boys and eventually made their permanent
home on the Morongo Indian Reservation. She worked at Deutsch Co., Kmart, and the Morongo
Bingo Hall. Linda loved watching her husband, her boys, and her grandchildren play baseball.
When she was not watching baseball, she was hitting jackpots with her husband.
Beyond her family, Linda was an entrepreneur who found great joy in sales. She was a Princess
House consultant and spent decades as a top Tupperware distributor.
She is survived by her sons, Christopher A. Norte, Isaac S. Norte, and Vincent M. Norte; 21
grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and
Linda was preceded in death by: her greatest love, her husband, Gerald Norte; her beloved son,
Jeffrey Nathan Norte; parents, Rodolfo and Amparo Lopez; brother, George Lopez; and Lola
Norte, her lovable Yorkie.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's
Catholic Cemetery, 11200 Mission Road, Banning, CA. Lunch will follow at the Morongo Tribal
Hall, 11555 Potrero Road, Banning, CA.
