Kermit T. Frierson, a loving husband and father, passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 62. He was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, to the late Henry and Susie Frierson. The Friersons later moved to Banning, California, where Kermit attended elementary, middle, and high school. Kermit accepted Christ into his life at a young age. He was baptized and became a member of First Missionary Baptist Church. He also enjoyed playing sports and was a man of many talents. After high school, he began and remained working in the construction field for many years.
In 2002, he met his lovely wife, Maisha Jackson, and later moved to Moreno Valley, California, where they raised their children. Kermit was such a hard-working, loving, caring person; he would give you the shirt off his back. He had such a witty personality that we will all miss tremendously. Kermit loved to barbecue for his loved ones as well as for the family business. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed traveling, watching sports, playing cards and dominoes, and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed being a PawPaw. Kermit loved to have a great time with the people around him and would often listen to music and go dancing with his wife; they were the best of friends.
Kermit is preceded in death by his late parents and his brother Brian Frierson. Kermit is survived by his wife, Maisha Jackson-Frierson, five children, Eric (Rebecca), Jaala, Darius, Aaron, and Naizhae. 7 grandchildren, Ryan and Reyna Parada, Zayden Chan Davis, Aaron Jr, Aarianna, Jailon and Kendra Bell, his siblings Michael, Tamara(Milton), Madie (Jack), Henry(Alisha), father-in-law Cardell (Wilena), mother-in-law Jacqueline Darden, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and much more family and friends. He will forever be in our hearts.
