Johann Mary Dalton, aged 81, of Banning, CA, passed away on October 24, 2024. Johann was born on March 11, 1943 in Far Rockaway NY, and dedicated her life to nurturing strong family bonds and close friendships, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who knew her.
Johann's career spanned several notable roles, including as a Communications Supervisor at American Telephone and Telegraph Company and later at Banning Unified School District. She held a Masters Degree in English from Saint Johns University, which fueled her passion for communication and education.
A devout member of the Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Community, Johann lived her faith and values daily. Her personal interests were as vibrant and engaging as her personality. She was a devoted dog mom to Amelia, an enthusiastic karaoke singer, a skilled ceramic painter, and an avid fan of Western movies.
Johann is survived by her loving family: son Thomas F. Dalton, daughter Ann Marie Dalton; grandchildren Thomas F. Dalton III, Daniel Dalton, Lindsey Benitez, William Dalton, Brent Dalton, Elijah Dalton, Daniel Cash, Dalton Cash, Declan Cash; great-grandson Jacob Benitez; grandson-in-law Jose Benitez; and daughter-in-law Valeria Dalton. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Bernice Brazill, her husband Thomas F. Dalton, daughter Mary Herman, and grandson John Herman.
A service to celebrate Johann's life will be held at Wiefels & Son Memorial Chapel, 50 E Nicolet St, Banning, CA 92220, on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 9am to 11am.
Johann Dalton's life was marked by her sharp wit, loving nature, and the deep connections she forged throughout her journey. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her spirited presence.
