Jesse G. Castanon
Age 77, he peacefully entered into glory on July 1, 2024.
Jesse was born to Paul and Lupe Castanon, on June 17, 1947 in San Bernardino, California.
Jesse lived in Banning, California for over twenty five years.
He is survived by five siblings: four sisters and one brother, Jennie Huerta, Pauline Nunez, Lucy Johnson, Larry Castanon, and Patsy Castanon.
Jesse has over 75 nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, along with his furry friend Sleepy.
The Castanon Family all grew up in Fontana. California, where Jesse attended Oleander Elementary, Fontana Junior High, Sequoia Junior High and graduated from Fontana High School. He attended Chaffey College before going into the Navy and serving 4 years, during the Vietnam War. Jesse worked at Kaiser Steal and Fleetwood Mobile Homes. He then began to work at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda in the Agent Orange Department for 27 years, until he retired. Jesse, then went on to buy his ice cream truck and sold at Pow Wows, Dog Shows and Carnivals.
He loved traveling and had visited Japan, Hong Kong, Italy, Egypt, and other parts of the world. Jesse loved animals so much, he had at 1 time, 4 dogs, 3 cats, cocktails, finches, parakeets, doves, desert turtles and water turtles.
His favorite actress would be Elizabeth Taylor and his favorite movie would be Cleopatra. Jesse loved the disco days when he could dance to the song, "Rock the Boat" and "I will Survive" and other disco songs. We are deeply saddened and broken hearted, yet proud to call him brother. He will be greatly missed and thought of every single day, until we meet again. We love you with all our hearts
