Jerry Ray Elliott Obituary

Jerry Ray Elliott was called to heaven on August 21, 2025 in San Diego at the age of 43.

Jerry was born on September 30, 1981 to Mercy (Moreno) Ramos and Juan Ramirez in Banning California. Raised in Beaumont California by his mother and step-dad Juan Ramos.

Jerry was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandpa, cousin and friend. His passing was sudden and unexpected. Ever since Jerry Ray was little he was a happy kid. He was always the energy in the room, you couldn't walk into a room if he was there and not know he was there always laughing and making you laugh. Jerry Ray held onto every word his brothers and cousins would say he loves his family. He went to school in Beaumont. He would get picked up on the bus and he'd spend his bus ride to school hanging his head out the window hoping to see anyone he knew so he could scream a big loud "HEY". He looked up to his older brother and older cousins so much when he was little, that all his cousin were cholo. When they lived in Cherry Valley one of the neighbors Dario was a mechanic he used to have a Dickey mechanic suit and pants hanging on the clothesline one time he couldn't find any of his pants. Then they seen Jerry Ray running down the street with Dario's pants cut into khaki shorts like a little cholo. His family will always have these funny memories of him.

Jerry worked in Landscaping for more than 16 years, he did other jobs as well. He loved collecting antiques and spending time with his family and friends. He loved to watch I love lucy and listening to music all the time! Jerry never forgot anything, everything was amazing to him. He would always talk about the memories of his mom and everyone around him. He held onto everything, so wholeheartedly. He is definitely gonna be missed dearly and the family has a hole without him.

Jerry is survived by his children Mercy Elliott, Faith Elliott and Jerry Ray Elliott Jr. His two grandchildren Damian and Dominic. His two brothers James Elliott and his wife April Elliott. Gabriel Ramos and his wife Angelina Ramos. His sisters Vanessa Ramirez and Heidi Ramirez. His aunts Yolanda Morales, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Irene Cortez, Charlotte Cisneros, Pearl Cisneros, Ruby Elliott and Heidi Kilgore. His uncle Nolberto Moreno. And lots of cousins!

He was preceded in death by his parents Mercy Ramos and Juan Ramirez. His grandparents Rodolph Moreno and Antonia (Contreras) Moreno, Juan Ramirez and Sylvia Mata. His sister Angel Dolores Elliott. His aunts, Connie Moreno, Elsa Fewer and Lily Moreno. His uncles Moy Moreno, Richard Moreno, Bernie Moreno, Arthur Moreno, Rene Moreno and Jesse Moreno. And many cousins.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday.
