Glenn Williams Sr., age 98 and 64-year resident of Banning, CA passed away at Golden Meadows Assisted Living. He was born in Vaughn, AR in 1921.
Glenn served in the US Army as a CPL, 97th Infantry Division. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African, Mid East Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
Glenn supplied restaurants in the desert & mountains communities for 35 years. He was the last founding member of the Banning Seventh Day Adventist Church. Glenn loved camping trips in his VW camper.
Glenn was widowed after 71 years of marriage to his wife, Marjorie, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Glenn Williams Jr. of CA; daughter, Becky Evans of AZ; granddaughters, Jennifer Evans of AZ & Rebecca Seibert of CA, Jacquie Klyne-Errichetti of CT; grandson, Scott Williams of MI; great-grandchildren, Damian, Morrigan, Kady, Karina.
Memorial Services will take place on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019 at 11:00am at Wiefels & Son Mortuary of Banning, CA. A private interment will take place at Riverside National Cemetery where Glenn will be laid to rest with his wife Marjorie.
