George Dickson Obituary
George R. Dickson passed away on November 30, 2020, in San Diego, California. He was 97. George was born in Prescott, Arizona on October 3, 1923, the son of George M. and Irwinna (Owen) Dickson. George attended public schools in Los Angeles, California before beginning his career with Western Electric and subsequently with AT&T. He enjoyed a long 42-year career with Pacific Bell Telephone as an Engineering Manager, working in Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. He belonged to the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a Master Mason of the Rosemead Masonic Lodge #457. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Virginia. George was a loving father of Nancy Dickson of San Diego and Roger Dickson of New York City.
No memorial service is planned. Interment will be at San Gorgonio Memorial Park Cemetery, Banning, CA. In lieu of flowers, George’s family prefers a donation be made in George’s name to your favorite charity.
