Fredrick Darin Mays passed away at Casa Colina Hospital in Pomona, after a long battle with his illness. Fredrick was born July 13, 1969 in Los Angeles California, to Ava Miles and Roger Mays. He attended schools in Banning California and San Antonio Texas. He graduated from Fox Tech High School in San Antonio Texas. After graduation he attended Clintondale Culinary Arts Course of Study.
Fredrick excelled in all areas of the kitchen. He had leadership qualities and he enjoyed cooking with a passion. He enjoyed everyone eating his meals and he was willing to teach his skills to anyone that was interested. Fredrick loved his family and friends. On holidays he looked forward to cook for his family and enjoying a good time.
He is survived by his wife Laverne Bovell Mays, his dad Roger Mays, stepmom June Mays, two brothers Adam Miles and Garnel Mays, one sister Rosha Mays, one daughter Charnell Earl, who resides in Washington DC. He has 5 step children, and eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Three nephews, two nieces, one great niece, and a host of cousins, family and friends. Fredrick was preceded in death by his grandmother Betty Davis Moore, mom Ava Miles, aunt Arne Miles and a host of relatives.
