Eileen Theresa (Gaudet) Cox

Eileen Theresa Gaudet Cox, 93, of Banning went home to be with the Lord on January 22nd, 2024 after a short illness.

Eileen was born on March 22, 1930, in Waltham, Massachusetts, to Dennis and Victoria Gaudet. She grew up with two sisters and 5 brothers.

After graduating from high school she was employed as a Supervisor at the Waltham Telephone Company.

In 1952 Eileen met her beloved husband Larry at a Memorial Day parade in Waltham. He was serving in the United States Air Force and they were married in January 1953 and celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2023. During his career, she kept their home filled with love, while also moving to multiple places, enduring his deployments and raising 5 children. When Larry retired after 20 years, they settled in San Bernardino, California. They eventually moved to Banning, living there for over 30 years.

Eileen was very involved with Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church. She was an active member of the women's guild and leaves behind many close friends who will dearly miss her. Her hobbies also included traveling, baking, playing bingo and spending time with her 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Eileen is survived by her children Ed Cox (Laura) of Roseburg, Oregon, Lorraine Hannah (Doug) of Beaumont, Ron Cox (Janet) of Hemet, Gerald Cox (Eydie) of Highland, Ernie Cox (Suzie) of La Quinta; her 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her brother Edmond in South Carolina.

She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Lawrence Cox and 6 siblings.

Eileen will be remembered as a warm, kind, and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a woman of strong faith in God and took excellent care of her family. She was generous and always there to help anyone who needed it.

Visitation Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm with Rosary at 4:00 pm at
