EARNEST COLLINS
On January 5, 1926, Earnest Collins was born to Clay Collins Sr. and Caroline Johnson Collins in Foreman, Arkansas.
In 1946 he was drafted in the United States Army and received a Honorable Discharge in 1947. Soon after being discharged from the Army, Earnest married his first wife, Vera Odessa Collins. To their union, three children were born, Allen James Collins, Johnnie Earl Collins, Jimmy Ray Collins.
From 1959 to 1979 Earnest worked at the Cotton Mill in Calipatria, CA. He was such a great people person that he quickly advanced to night shift foreman.
After Earnest retired from the Cotton Mill, he married his second wife, Lucille Sullivan. From their union there were no children born.
On April 19, 2024, Earnest Collins closed and received his wings. Earnest was preceded in death by his wife Vera Odessa Collins, second wife Lucille Sullivan, his sons Allen James Collins and Jimmy Ray Collins.
Earnest leaves to cherish memory to the following members: His two sons, Johnnie Earl Collins of Colorado Springs, Colorado Bobbie Lee Collins of Phoenix, Arizona and eight grandchildren, Jason Anthony Collins, Michelle Lavette Collins, Dione Lamar Collins, Datrice Lanette Collins, Deandra Renae Collins, Dorian Ray Collins, Allen James Collins, Jr. Lorraine Denise Collins.
He was also blessed to have thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
