DAVID DWIGHT (DAWSON) DAWSON

DAVID DWIGHT DAWSON was born December 31, 1953, in Newport News, VA. He passed away peacefully on December 17, 2022 in Upland, CA., After a long illness.

David was born into military family, so travel and moving were a big part of his childhood. Before the age of 10, he lived in Virginia, England, California, Washington state and the Panama Canal Zone.

Dave's father retired from the US Army in 1964. The family settled in Long Beach, CA., where David graduated from Millikan High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree at UV Santa Barbara. He had a successful career in city planning, working for the cities of Santa Barbara, Calabasas, Desert Hot Springs and San Bernardino, before his retirement in 2010, while working in San Bernardino, He was honored by the State of California as "City Planner of the year."

David was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Anne, and His father, Estel Lee Dawson.
He is survived by his sister Linda Susan, age 71.
