On February 27th, 1936 in Carthage, Texas Billie Joyce was born to Thomas and Nevada Alexander. She was the 10th child of eleven kids born to her parents. In 1941 the Alexander family moved to Palm Springs, Ca where she attended school.

In 1952 Billie Joyce met and married William James Swancy. In 1952 Billie Joyce started her family and she was blessed with eight beautiful children, 4 girls and 4 boys.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Nevada Alexander, sisters: Caroline Rayson, Mellie Anderson, Bertha Holland, Alice Jackson, and Lucille Jackson, brothers: Ladell Alexander, Alex Alexander, Thomas Alexander, Ellie Hue Alexander, Ralph Alexander, grandchildren: Kimberly Henderson, Shonta Malone and Joseph Tamez, Great grandchild: Chauncy Stout, and God daughter: Gwendolyn Joyce Haddicks.

Billie Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her four daughters: Vada Houston of Desert Hot Springs, Jaqueline Stout (Gerald) of Surprise, Arizona, Charlyce Robinson-Bowie of Desert Hot Springs, and Shanarra Tamez of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her four sons: Donald Jones Sr. of Yucaipa, Ronald Jones Sr. of Palm Springs, Darell Jones of Banning, and Reginald Jackson of Hemet. Along with 27 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren. She was cherished by many and leaves behind a legacy of love.

Services in Billie's honor will be as follows:
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Wiefels & Son Memorial Chapel, 50 E Nicolet St, Banning, Ca 92220.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11:00am, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 332 N. Allen St, Banning, Ca 92220.

Graveside to follow Funeral Service Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 1:00pm, at San Gorgonio Memorial Park, 2201 N. San Gorgonio Ave, Banning, Ca 92220
