Archie Lee Williams

October 13, 1936 ~ February 12, 2020 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Archie Lee Williams Sr. was born on October 13, 1936 in Hugo, OK to Commador Perry Williams Sr. and Bonnie (Holman) Williams. He attended school in Hugo and graduated from Hugo High School. Shortly after graduation, Archie enlisted in the US Army.

Archie moved to Phoenix, AZ. where he met and married Mattie Hazel Jackson. Soon after the two headed to California to start their family. While there, he found an interest in the construction industry in which he would have a 40-year career. He became a member and attended church at First Missionary Baptist Church in Banning, CA. regularly.

Archie was known for his big heart, quick wit, brawn stature, love for cars and his head to toe fashion. He had a pristine smile that was second to none.

On the morning of February 12, 2020, Archie began his eternal rest. Loved ones who proceeded him in death are his parents, his wife Mattie, his son Dion Lamon, four brothers, Jessie, James, Ealious and C.P. and his sister Bernice.

Left to mourn Archie’s passing and cherish his legacy are his children Leslie Charles of Tulsa, OK, Sharon of Fountain Hills, AZ, Sherry of CA, Kenneth (Lourdes) of Phoenix, AZ, Audrey of CA, Latonya of Banning, CA, Archie Jr of Los Angeles, CA, and Donnetta (Warren) of Banning, CA. His siblings Davis (Jean) of Phoenix, AZ, Arnetta of Broken Bow, Ok, Bonnie Helen and Robert both of Oklahoma City, OK. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Viewing will take place at Wiefels & Son Mortuary on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Services will take place at First Missionary Baptist Church, Banning, CA, 10:00am, Tuesday, February 25, 2020 with burial to follow at 1:45pm, Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
