Angelo "Jello" Leivas, tragically passed away at only 20 years old August 15, 2025, in Moreno Valley, CA. He was born on July 31, 2005 in Needles, CA to Manuel Leivas and Rosalie Romero. Angelo was a member of the Chemehuevi Indian Tribes and lived on the Morongo Reservation.
He graduated in 2023 from Noli High School in San Jacinto, Ca on the Soboba Reservation. Then went on to attend The Fab School in Rancho Cucamonga, to learn Metal Fabrication and Welding. He worked as an auto welder for a year.
Jello to all who knew him, was such a sweet soul and a good time all wrapped up in one person. Always willing to help anyone in need and full of life. Jello enjoyed time with all his family, cousins, and friends. He had a captivating smile that could light up the room. Everyone had their own special bond with him and we will truly miss him. Our hearts are broken knowing he is in Heaven, however we know we gained another angel who will be watching from above. Jello, we miss you but you did not go alone, you took a piece of our hearts with you and we will forever love you.
Jello is survived by his sister Summer Leivas, his aunts Sacheen Leivas & Marlena Gastleum, his uncles Damen "Bones" Leivas & Gabriel Leivas, his grandparents Judy Leivas & Dennis Basquez, his cousins Joe "Rabbit" Nungaray, Eva Leivas, Ella Leivas, Ezra Leivas, Roman Diaz, Ricky Diaz, and Kwisaa Diaz, his best friend David "Bam" Ward, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He now joins in the presence of his angels: his parents, Manuel C. Leivas, Rosalie Romero, his grandparents, Manuel T. Leivas, Elmeda Esquerra, and David "Ace" Romero, his great grandparents, John and Sara Leivas, and his cousin Wally "LERF" Smith.
Jello's Visitation will take place Monday, August 25th, 2025 from 4-7:00 pm at Wiefels & Son Mortuary 50 E Nicolet St, Banning, California 92220
His Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Cemetery on the Morongo Reservation
