William Eugene Erwin

William Eugene Erwin, age 77, passed away on October 28, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Springfield, IL to his parents, William and Ethel Erwin on May 16, 1942.

Raised in Springfield, IL for 24 years and a current resident of Beaumont, CA for 1 year, he was a prior resident of Buena Park, CA for 41 years; La Mirada, CA for 7 years and Long Beach, CA for 5 years.

William acquired a Bachelors Degree in Social Studies, History & Business, as well as, his Masters in Sociology at Whittier College. He was a Teacher, Assistant Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Personnel, later retiring after 30 years from the Montebello School District.

William is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Grace Erwin of Beaumont, CA; sons, William Edward Erwin of Carlsbad, CA and Matthew John Erwin of New Orleans, LA; daughter, Wendy Hinton Vaughn of Chicago, IL; stepson Dave Erwin of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, William Erwin and mother, Ethel Erwin both of Springfield, IL.

A memorial will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:00am, Wiefels & Son Mortuary, Banning, CA, with burial immediately following at Mountain View Cemetery of Beaumont, CA. Reception to follow at Altis Club House, 1555 Skystone Way, Beaumont, CA, 92223.
