Norton - Abrams

Norton "Norty" Abrams, age 88, passed away on June 22, 2018 surrounded by his wife and son as he transitioned to his new life. Norty was born on May 30, 1930 in Chicago, IL. A resident of Banning, CA for 21 years he was also a prior resident of Torrance, CA for 35 years, Riverside, CA for 7 years & Chicago, IL for 26 years.

After graduating High School he attended Business Schools. A Korean War Veteran, Norty served as a Corporal in the United States Army receiving the Korean Service Medal w/3 Stars; United Nations Service Medal; Overseas Service & Combat Infantry Badge.

Norty met and married his sweetheart, Elaine Feldman, August 8, 1953. He was a member of the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club & was of Jewish faith. He was not a man of greatness, but a great man.

A parent cradles their newborn, as it struggles in its new life, hoping for a long and healthy life. A child cradles their dying parent remembering the long and healthy life.

Norton is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Abrams of Banning, CA; daughters, Randi Gonzalez of San Pedro, CA and Barbie Smith of Torrance, CA; sons, Michael Abrams of Dickinson, TX and Steven Abrams of Allyn, WA and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Anna Abrams of Chicago, IL; sister Lorraine Greenburg of Skokie, IL.
