Nettie Conception Williams was affectionately known by family and friends as Girlee. She was born to Walter Holmes, Sr. and Laura Guachino on March 8, 1953 in Thermal, CA. She lived most of her life on the Morongo Indian Reservation, in which she was a member of.
Girlee loved life and had a heart of gold. She was the person anyone could count on for anything. She always took care of her family and close friends who she loved unconditionally. In her pass time she liked to sew, do various arts and crafts making sure everyone had everything they needed. The one thing she loved the most was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was also known to the friends of her grandkids as “Grams” the one grandma who loved everyone.
She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Holmes, Sr; mother and step-father, Laura and Joseph Guachino; brothers, Steven and Thomas Holmes; sisters, Mary Lopez and Gloria Holmes; four grandsons, Bradford Winfield, William Law, Terrance Glover & Isaac Armstrong.
She is survived by her siblings, Walter Holmes, Connie “Itsy” Medellin, Frances Jurado. She also leaves behind her legacy of five children, Vickie Murrell of Moreno Valley, CA, Jennifer Jones of Las Vegas, NV, Harvis Armstrong III, Melissa Peukert and Angelo Evans, all of Banning, CA; thirty grandchildren, thirteen great grand-children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Morongo Community Center, on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Morongo Indian Reservation, Banning, CA from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Graveside Service will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:00 am. at Morongo Indian Reservation, Banning, CA.
