Gaylord E. Ailshie, age 87, passed away on August 17, 2019, with his loving family by his side. Gaylord was born in Mason City, NE to his parents on August 20, 1931. He lived in various states; Korea, Vietnam, Germany; Cerritos, Big Bear City, Palm Springs and most currently Beaumont, CA.

Gaylord enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950, served 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his service he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal & Bronze Star. He was a member of the Redlands Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Al Malaikah Shriners and San Gorgonio pass High 12; a Protestant and member of Beaumont First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Gaylord is survived by his wife of 68 years, Diane Ailshie; children, David Ailshie, Steven Ailshie and Susan Antonitis; brother, Ron Ablott; sister, Shirley LaChance; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents E.F. Ailshie and Irene Ailshie-Ablott; step-father, Elwood Ablott; brother Gerald Ailshie.

A Visitation is scheduled for Wed., August 28, 2019 from 4pm-7pm at Wiefels & Son Mortuary, Banning, CA. Burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside CA on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11:15 am.
