Augustine “Tinie” Miranda, age 82, passed away on November 23, 2019. Tinie was born in Banning, CA on August 28, 1937 to his parents Victor & Cirila Miranda.
A former of resident of Los Angeles, CA from 1969-1997, he was born and raised in Banning, CA. He attended Banning High School and later worked for the May Company; retiring after 20+ years. He was a volunteer at a church for skid row in Los Angeles.
Our family lost a great humanitarian, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His energy and smile were infectious and will go unmatched. He loved life to the fullest in gardening, cooking, eating, drinking, dancing and just having a good time! He was always there to lend a hand or help in any way. He will be dearly missed.
Tinie is survived by his son Anthony Miranda of Banning, CA; sisters, Emelie Ramos of Banning, CA, Maggie Cabading of San Diego, CA, Pauline “Bombie” Canales of Palm Springs, CA; many, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor & Cirila Miranda of Banning, CA; partner, Pat Ryan of Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Paul Miranda & Peter Miranda both of Banning, CA; sisters, Victoria “Vicky” Miranda of Banning, CA & Pam Espinoza of Banning, CA.
Memorial services will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Banning, CA on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 11:00am. Reception to immediately follow at Club Latino Americano of Banning, CA.
